The Job

As a nursing assistant in the emergency department, you will assess, care for, and treat patients during their stay in the emergency department. You will encounter everything from severely ill or injured patients to providing support for relatives or assisting doctors with minor procedures. We have begun our work to further develop a person-centered approach to best meet all patients with different conditions and needs. You will be part of a team with doctors, nurses, medical secretaries, and care assistants. As a nursing assistant in the emergency department, you will have a varied and stimulating job.

24/7 operations.

Applicants who are considered for employment must present an extract from the Police Authority's criminal record before employment.

Region Blekinge places all permanent staff in a reserve position. Some of our positions are security classified, where the employee must undergo a security clearance interview and background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).

About You

We are looking for you who are a nursing assistant, preferably with a few years of experience. If you have experience from emergency care, wards (hospitals), ICU, anesthesia, or district nursing, this is considered an advantage.

You are confident in your professional role and have both the interest and ability to meet people in various emergency situations. The nature of the work requires a flexible approach. You see what needs to be done and act accordingly with the patient's best interest in focus.

You must be stress-resistant and have the ability to structure and prioritize tasks. You are a team player who enjoys working in a team.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
